Het Vlaamse Gewest is de thuisbasis van veel ervaren animatiestudio's.
Deze studio's bieden ook productiediensten aan, soms via een aparte bedrijfsentiteit. Samen bestrijken ze het hele gamma aan animatietechnieken, van 2D handgetekende animatie en computeranimatie tot 3D en stop-motion. Deze Vlaamse animatieproducenten en -studio's zijn betrouwbare partners in internationale coproducties. Ze nemen steeds vaker het voortouw door meeslepende personages en verhalen te creëren en innovatieve animatiecontent af te leveren.
